TAKE NOTICE that a pleading seeking relief against you has been filed in the above-entitled action. The nature of the relief being sought is as follows: termination of your parental rights in the above-named child.
You are required to make defense to such pleading not later than November 4, 2013, and upon your failure to do so the party seeking relief against you will apply to the Court for the relief herein sought.
You are entitled to attend any hearing affecting you rights. You are entitled to have counsel appointed by the Court if you cannot afford one. If you are represented by a lawyer appointed previously in an abuse, neglect or dependency case, that lawyer will continue to represent you unless the Court orders otherwise. If you are not represented by a lawyer and want a court appointed lawyer, you are encouraged to contact immediately the Wake County Clerk of Superior Court, Juvenile Division at (919) 792-4000, to request appointment of an attorney to represent you. At the first hearing, the Court will determine whether you qualify for a court-appointed lawyer. If you do not qualify, the lawyer named above will be released.
