Veterans Day closures
Municipal offices in Wake Forest, Youngsville, Rolesville and Raleigh will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 11, to mark the Veterans Day holiday.
In Wake Forest, yard waste collection will be suspended Nov. 11, but police, garbage, recycling and bulk pick-up services will not be interrupted.
From Wednesday through Friday, Nov. 12-14, the town will follow its normal yard waste collection cycle beginning with Tuesday’s route and ending with Friday’s route. Crews will complete each day’s route before starting on the next. Normal yard waste collection will resume Monday, Nov. 17.
In order to ensure that all neighborhoods are serviced properly, residents whose yard waste is normally collected after Monday are urged to leave their normal yard waste and loose leaves in separate piles at the curb by 7 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12.
Wake Forest bus service, including the Wake Forest-Raleigh Express and the Wake Forest Loop, will also follow the normal schedule.
In Raleigh, the regular schedule for garbage, recycling and yard waste collections will not be affected by the holiday, and Capital Area Transit and Triangle Transit will on operate normal schedules.
