Franklin County Sheriff Department deputies are still
searching for a white male who robbed the Scotchman
convenience store on U.S. 1 in Wake Forest Sunday night.
According to reports, the man entered the store at
14012 Capital Blvd. about 6 p.m. Lt. Nelson Ross of the
sheriff's department said the man laid a knife on the
counter and told the female clerk, "Don't make me have to
use this. Give me all of your money."
The woman gave him an undisclosed amount of money and
called the sheriff's department as soon as he left the
store. The woman was not injured and no one else was in
the store at the time.
Ross said the store clerk described the suspect as a
white male with blond highlighted hair, about 6 feet tall
and 170 pounds. The man was wearing a light-colored
flannel shirt and blue jeans.
The suspect left in a gold-colored Ford Ranger pick up
truck with an extended cab. He was headed south on U.S. 1
toward Wake Forest.
