The Shore Grief Center is a local nonprofit that provides free grief support groups for kids and teens who have experienced the death of someone close to them. They offer eight-week programs where participants learn more about how to manage their anger and sadness via art therapy, play therapy and for the teens, journaling.
Groups are held in schools that request them as well as in donated space in local churches. There is no charge to attend the groups. There is also an adult group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide.
