The first ever Dirty Dogs Extravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at 929 Heritage Lake Road, Wake Forest. Admission is free.
Wadford awarded Tile Person of the Year
Nyle Wadford, president of Youngsville’s Neuse Tile Service Inc., was recognized as Tile Person of the Year by the National Tile Contractors Association at their annual awards ceremony in Atlanta. The honor is bestowed annually to a tile professional who is dedicated to supporting the nonprofit trade association as it serves all segments of the tile and stone industry.
Wadford’s recent work to create qualified labor specifications for the industry and his contributions to the growth of the organization were cited among his many accomplishments when he was presented the award by previous recipient James Woelfel of ArtCraft Granite, Marble & Tile in Phoenix, Ariz.

The new Rex Breast Care Center has opened in a new space at 3100 Duraleigh Road, Suite 204. The facility is three times larger than the previous center with more privacy features, Wi-Fi connectivity and accessible parking.
The new Rex Breast Care Center features valuable screening and diagnostic tools, including digital mammograms, breast ultrasounds, ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy, stereotactic breast biopsy and bone density tests.

Roger Urlaub, DDS, PA welcomes new associate
Heath Brantley, DDS has joined Roger Urlaub, DDS as a new associate dentist. Brantley’s addition has expanded the practice’s services to include endodontics, extractions and implant dentistry.

Learn to market your farm
The Franklin County Cooperative Extension Office employees know that farmers, both large and small, need to successfully promote their business.
To help, they have organized a workshop at the Extension Center’s annex, 103 S. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursday, June 20.
Participants will learn how to promote their farm on the Internet. Various forms of marketing will be taught, including the use of social media, e-mail marketing, creating marketing websites and how to take photos and edit them.
Attendees will need to bring their own laptop to the workshop. The minimal fee of $15 includes lunch and refreshments.
