Wake Forest business community suffers loss
•Steve Tarangelo, longtime owner and operator of La Foresta Italian Cafe on Brooks Street in the historic downtown area, died Sept. 8. A wake was held for Tarangelo Monday, Sept. 9 and his funeral was Tuesday at St. Catherine of Siena.

Dart tournament Sept. 23
Wake Forest downtown’s White Street Brewery will host a dart tournament Sept. 23, 7 p.m. There will be 16 teams of two each, and singles will be randomly partnered with other single entrants.
