Family-friendly event showcases Model T assembly demo and plenty of antique cars
WAKE FOREST — The Wake Forest Downtown Revitalization Corporation (DRC) hosts a classic and antique car show to benefit Hospice of Wake County and local Wake Forest charities Saturday, June 15, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
The open show will include custom, muscle, sports, pony, classic and antique autos as well as street rods and trucks.
Live music will be provided by The Results band at a stage set up at the intersection of South White Street and Owen Avenue.
Additionally, there will be a Model T assembly demonstration, door prizes and a 50-50 drawing. Admission is free to public.
The awards show will begin at 2:30 p.m. and trophies will be given for best in show, as well as 13 additional categories.
Ted Wilder of State Farm Insurance is the grand sponsor. Other sponsors include Southern Classic Cars, The Forks Cafeteria, White Street Brewing Company, Crossroads Ford, Crossroads Nissan and The Wake Forest Weekly.
Registration for show car entries is $20 and lasts 8-11 a.m. Trailer parking will be available.
South White Street will be closed from Elm Avenue to Jones Avenue as will East Owen Avenue from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
