Carlos Neil Pearce, of Raleigh, also known as “Frisky,” “Nina,” “Carlos,” “Double Ringer” and “Walk-on,” went to be with his personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, Feb. 14, 2014. He was 77.
After serving his country in the U.S Navy, he was honorably discharged as Lt. Commander, and ran his own real estate business for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Carla Popson and Kim Bunton; and sons-in-law, Johnny Popson and Phillip Bunton II.
He was loved and laughed at by his four grandchildren, Carter and Bailey Popson, and Jaxon and Hannah Bunton.
Neil loved having his whole family in one place at one time and making as much noise as humanly possible. That family, who is as close as any though they live thousands of miles apart, includes sister and brother-in-law Jack and Jocelyn Wheeler, of Nova Scotia, and their sons, Jon and James, of Maui; sister-in-law, Kathie Matthews, of Georgia, and her daughters, Mackenzie and Ashley, of Florida.
Funeral services were held Feb. 17 at Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Justin Buchanan officiating. Burial was in Greenmount Cemetery in Wendell. Online Condolences may be made at brightfunerals.com.
