Admission to the carnival is free, although the rides, games and food are for a cost. Unlimited ride wristbands are $20 each and can be bought at the carnival.
Coupons for $2 off the wristbands are available from town hall, 301 S. Brooks St., the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St., and the police department, 225 S. Taylor St.
The coupons may only be used April 7, 5-10 p.m. and April 11-12, 1-5 p.m.
A portion of the proceeds from the Carnival for Kids supports the police department’s youth programs including the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program, which teaches the importance of healthy decision making and remaining drug-free, and Police Explorer Post 401.
The carnival will be in full swing 5-10 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, 1-10 p.m. Saturday and 1-8 p.m. on Sunday.
