WAKE FOREST — Eleven actors have been chosen for the cast of Harvey, Forest Moon Theater’s fall comedy about a man and his imaginary friend.
They are Meredith Feldman as Myrtle Mae Simmons; Heather Dahlberg as Veta Louise Simmons; Mark Anderson as Elwood P. Dowd; Pam McClure as Mrs. Ethel Chauvenet; Kirsten Ehlert as Nurse Ruth Kelly and Raymond Jaquez as Duane Wilson.
Also Aaron Dunlap as Doctor Lyman Sanderson; Greg Bruce as Doctor William R. Chumley; Jeri McKee as Betty Chumley; Shawn Smith as Judge Omar Gaffney and Stephen Clos as cabby E.J. Lofgren.
The play is directed by Cora Hemphill of Wake Forest.
Close to 30 people tried out for the roles, which, in a statement, the theater company staff said is a good indicator of the recognition Forest Moon Theater is gaining in the community.
“For everyone who auditioned — and for those of you who didn’t — we hope that if you are not cast in this play, you will be back at our auditions for our spring production, which we will be announcing as soon as plans are finalized,” the release said.
“We also hope that all of you, and our growing audience at large, will be planning to attend one of the Harvey performances in early October.”
Tickets will go on sale in August.
