The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office teamed up with the Cooperative Extension and United Way for the third annual Community Garden project, dedicated July 10. Produce will be donated to 23 food programs and pantries in the county. “We want to be able to take all the experience in the detention facility and turn it to this garden,” Franklin County Sheriff Jerry Jones said. “This is one of the first positive things a lot of these guys have been able to do.” Pictured with Jones is UWFC Executive Director Kathy Harrelson.
