Dance Attic performers win national competition

WAKE FOREST — The Dance Attic Company team took 48 routines to Star Talent Nationals competition July 11-14 in Myrtle Beach.

Among other awards, they received the Petite National Title for the musical theater routine, “Bushel and A Peck.”

Additionally, choreographers Rachel Team and Rachel Perlman received special recognition for four routines. And, graduating senior Hallie Hoy received the High Intensity award for a contemporary solo performance of “Broken Butterfly,” choreographed by Cory Hunt.

Performers included Morgan Barnette, Alexis Barton, Rachelle Binkley, Rachel Bohannon, Rebecca Bohannon, Thalia Bustillio, Ariana Cruz, Gracie Denton, Cecilia Fotheringham, Hallie Hoy, Madison King, Hannah Long, Macie Lowery, Elle Mileski, Allie Mobley, Grace Skipper, Abby Telenko, Emma Thigpen and Chloe Waybright.
