WAKE FOREST — Local dance studio, The Dance Attic, will get a little more than 15 seconds of fame when a select group of dancers perform in the half-time show of the Orange Bowl at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., Jan. 3, 2014.
The Dance Attic’s Company Team has been invited to perform as one of two studios, and nearly 800 select dancers, from each state chosen to participate.
Readers are probably already familiar with the Company Performers as they regularly entertain crowds at events like Meet in the Street in downtown Wake Forest and the annual Wake Forest and Rolesville Christmas Parades.
Studio owner Wanda Precise said the invitation was the result of the hard work of The Dance Attic dancers.
“This is a first for us and an opportunity of a lifetime,” Precise said. “The hard work and dedication displayed by each dancer over the years has allowed this studio to gain national recognition. We are humbled, yet honored to receive this prestigious invite.”
The Dance Attic is located at 1241 S. Main St. and offers a wide range of classes for the beginner to the more experienced.
