YOUNGSVILLE — As a new premier destination for dog agility competitions, Teamworks Dog Training, LLC held its grand opening for their agility arena Aug. 31-Sept. 2.
“The first of its kind in all of the Carolinas, we offer a dedicated dog agility facility that is open-air and has premium sprint turf as the running surface,” owner Michele Godlevski said Monday.
Teamworks was founded in 2000 by Godlevski and introduced the Triangle to its first positive reinforcement-based training center.
Godlevski has been a dog trainer for over 20 years and is a certified dog behavior consultant. With 14 agility championship titles, Godlevski knows her stuff.
The Teamworks Youngsville, 195 Robbins Road location has hosted sanctioned agility events since 2001. Teamworks also has contributed to the community with their annual all-breed rescue fundraiser for the past 12 years.
Normally hosting 13 agility trials per year, with the opening of the new arena Teamworks has 26 scheduled for next year.
The Youngsville arena will bring agility event participants from Canada to Florida, including those seen on TV.
Teamworks also offers indoor classes in its 8411 Garvey Drive Raleigh, location which includes therapy dog training, canine muscle freestyle and behavior modification.
