Eileen “Mama G” Bell Goswick, 95, of Louisburg, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at her home.
A daughter of the late William and Mamie Baker Bell, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Goswick; grandson, Joey Goswick; sister, Evelyn B. Perry; brothers, Cleathen Bell, Donnie Bell, Finner Bell and Billy Bell.
Mama G was a faithful member of Perry’s Chapel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and William Rowe, of Rocky Mount; Betty Jo “B.J.” and Joe Medlin, of Louisburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Lisa Goswick, of Franklinton; Larry and Jane Goswick, of Louisburg; Kenny Goswick and Kay Ellington, of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Esteen B. Griffin, of Raleigh; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Sunday, Feb. 9, at Perry’s Chapel Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
