OXFORD — The Backpacks to Briefcases (B2B) program aims to connect talented college graduates with great employers. Graduates who have been out of school for six months or more and have not found work in their field of study, will benefit from paid internships and on the job training through B2B. Most interns then transition into regular, full time employment.
Employers who participate in B2B get a stipend toward the new employee’s salary during the training period. They also get motivated, talented new employees, who are now trained in that employer’s methods.
B2B is funded through the Kerr Tar Workforce Development Board, and is intended to meet the needs of workers and businesses. There is no charge to participate.
