LOUISBURG — The Miracle League of Franklin County is a baseball league for children and young adults in Franklin, Vance, Granville, Warren and Wake Counties. Every player has a buddy to help with the play. No experience is needed by buddies or players.
The Miracle League of held their annual fall registration and training day Saturday, Sept. 7 at Louisburg High School.
Volunteers from Kohl’s in Wake Forest, Cypress Creek Civitan Club and Royal Knights Basketball club were present to help with the day.
Opening games will be Saturday, Sept. 21 at Louisburg High School. Game time begins at 10 a.m. for ages 9 and up, and 11 am for ages 5-10.
A new field is under construction at Long Mill Elementary School. This playing area will have a rubberized turfed surface so that players can safely maneuver on and around the field.
The field is slated to be ready Oct. 12 and all Miracle League of Franklin County Games will be moved to the this new location upon completion.
A Ribbon Cutting ceremony will be held Saturday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. which is the players trophy celebration day.
The rain date is Saturday, Nov. 9.
