LOUISBURG — Need to know more about the Affordable Care Act and what it means to you and your family?
N.C. Rep. Bobbie Richardson (District 7) and staff from the Rural Health Group are holding an informational meeting Wednesday, Sept. 11, 6 p.m. at the Franklin County Cooperative Extension Center.
Sign ups for the federally mandated program begin Oct. 1, and the program will go into effect January 2014.
“I know that many people without insurance are confused about the ACA and how it will work for them,” Rep. Richardson said. “That is why I wanted to sponsor this event. I’ve had questions from constituents, so I decided to go to the experts and have them make a presentation.”
The Rural Health Group, based in Henderson and Roanoke Rapids, offers medical care for individuals who are uninsured or underinsured.
The Cooperative Extension Center is located at 103 S. Bickett Blvd..
