LOUISBURG — Franklin County will open a shelter at the Franklin County Senior Center in Louisburg (127 Shannon Village) today at 5 p.m. Anyone coming to the shelter should bring all medications and food needed for the first 24 hours. Animals are to be sheltered at home unless there is an animal with a life or death situation. If there is an animal that can’t be left behind due to any type of life threatening issue they must be crated and placed in a holding area at the Franklin County Animal Shelter. All animals must be up to date on all vaccines. Any animal left behind will be recorded with the Shelter Manager.
The Emergency Operation’s Center (EOC) was activated today at 12 noon for support.
