Freddie Thompson O’Neal, 75, of Wake Forest, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Granville County, the son of the late Mamie Inez Ross O’Neal and Edwin Ransome O’Neal. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Carroll O’Neal; two children, Zina O’Neal and Mark O’Neal; a sister, Louise Keith, and a brother, Hal O’Neal.
Freddie is survived by his wife, Theresa Blevins O’Neal; children, Ricky O’Neal, Teddy O’Neal and wife, Melissa, Joy Barham and Jerry Blevins; brothers and sisters, Winston “Wink” O’Neal, Ella Grey Richards, Shirley Wilkerson, Sue Williams, Richard O’Neal and Patsy Douglas; grandchildren, Eddie Page, Bryan O’Neal, Sierra Barham, Jennifer O’Neal, Josh Blevins, Emily O’Neal, Tyler Barham and Lauren O’Neal; and three great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank David and Tammy Thompson, Harvey Ray, Brenda Ray, C.J. Ray and family and Donna McNew for all of their prayers and wonderful help during this difficult time.
Funeral services were Feb. 18, at Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Al Thomas officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the church at P.O. Box 263, Wake Forest, N.C. 27587.
