Free feral cats in August

RALEIGH — SAFE Haven for Cats and the SAFE Care Feline Spay/Neuter Clinic are offering Free Feral Fridays in August. This is to remind and inform people that Trap-Neuter-Return is in the best interest of cats and the community.

“Feral cats are cats that free-roam outside and cannot be adopted into homes. They live outdoors in family groups called colonies,” said Pam Miller, executive director of SAFE Haven for Cats. “Trap-Neuter-Return is the best course of action for feral cats because it ends the breeding cycle and stops behaviors associated with mating.”

In order to assist individuals who can’t afford to have neighborhood feral cats neutered or spayed, every Friday in August the clinic will waive the $75 fee or individuals who set appointments for feral cats.
