WAKE FOREST — A local family is fighting to bring awareness to Mitochondrial Disease that took their oldest child Aiden (8, who attended North Forest Pines Elementary) in 2014.
Lee Brothers SideKick Foundation will host the charity race and is raising funds to help research through www.UMDF.org. As of today, more than $16,000 has been raised and hundreds are expected to gather next weekend.
The 2016 MAD Dash Adventure Race is scheduled to be held at North Wake Landfill District Park, 9300 Deponie Drive, Raleigh, Saturday Sept. 24.
