WAKE FOREST — Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Jacob M. Gann graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Gann is the son of Kathy S. and Robert M. Gann of Wake Forest; grandson of Elmer J. Barnes of Virginia Beach, Va., and Marie Gann of Charleston, S.C.; and nephew of John T. Gann of Mountain View, Calif., and Steve Landi of Woodbridge, Va.
He is a 2009 graduate of Franklin Academy in Wake Forest, and he earned a bachelor’s degree in 2013 from UNC-Chapel Hill.
