Gas prices on the rise

RALEIGH — Average retail gasoline prices in Raleigh have risen 3.1 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.46 per gallon Sunday. This compares with the national average that has fallen 2.1 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.61 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.

Including the change in gas prices in Raleigh during the past week, prices Sunday were 10.6 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 5.7 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has decreased 5 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 8 cents per gallon higher than one year ago.
