WAKE FOREST — Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry got a fresh paint job Oct. 18, 2013 when volunteers from GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) painted the outside of the building at 149 E. Holding Ave.
Tri-Area supplied the materials and the GSK team supplied the labor as part of Orange Day, when the company gives its employees a paid day to perform volunteer work in local communities.
Tri-Area Ministry is a non-profit food pantry serving the Rolesville, Wake Forest, and Youngsville areas. It has had to scale back to two half-days of food distribution (Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 to 12:00) due to increased demand and reduced supply of food and funds. The agency is entirely supported and staffed by volunteers, so is always in need of donations of time, food and finances.
