WAKE FOREST — The Wake Forest Lions Club met September 12 to celebrate its fifth anniversary having been chartered in Wake Forest Sept. 3, 2008.

The Lions Club is a diverse group of service-minded men and women who work to improve our community through monetary support and service projects.
Together with many Lions Clubs in North Carolina, the Wake Forest club supports projects including Camp Dogwood for the blind, the Visually Impaired Fishing Tournament, White Cane programs, eye exams and glasses for needy persons in the community and many other projects.
Meetings are held at The Forks Cafeteria downtown Wake Forest, second and fourth Thursdays at 7 p.m. Anyone interested in helping those who are visual impaired in Wake Forest are invited to attend.
