WAKE FOREST — Saturday, April 9 is the annual B.W. Wells Heritage Day at B.W. Wells Park, 13304 Creedmoor Road.
From 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., free programs will celebrate the life and legacy of Wells, while demonstrating 19th century farming techniques and how people used to live without the convenience of modern technologies.
There will be wildflower walks, history tours of the historic farmstead, a geology hike, walks to Zeagle’s Rock and games for children.
