WAKE FOREST — A total of 13 student athletes at Heritage High School announced their decision Tuesday morning on where to play for college.

Four baseball players, two football players, two volleyball players, two soccer players, a swimmer, a track athlete and a girls lacrosse player committed at the big signing event.
For the baseball team, Blake Cleverly signed with Winstom Salem State, pitcher Ryan Pifer signed with Barton College, Dylan Reget signed with Peace University and captain Caleb Coyle signed with Wake Tech.
Cornerback Charles Johnson Jr. will play football at Western University, and his high school teammate Lavonte Mouzzon signed with Methodist University.
Tori Holmberg was second on her volleyball team in kills last season, and her ability to smack down some spikes will be used at Emory-Henry College in Virginia. Her teammate and captain Sydney Hinds will travel south to the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Soccer player Hunter Weiland led the state in assists, and his talents will be going to Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. His co-captain, Fernando Morales, will play midfield at Belmont Abbey College.
Swimmer Haley was on the varsity team at Heritage for three years and made All-State her senior year. She will be swimming for UNC-Asheville next season.
Dyniesha Norman threw the discus and shot put on the Heritage track and field team. She signed with Barton College.
Girls lacrosse player Becky Mennard was 19th in the Cap 8 conference with 25 goals this season, and she also added in six assists. She signed with Belmont Abbey College.
