WAKE FOREST — The Heritage neighborhood was the star at the annual Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County Parade of Homes banquet Oct. 16, winning 10 of 16 judged homes and selling 10 of the homes before the Parade closed Oct. 20.
For the first time in Wake County Parade of Homes history, L&L of Raleigh swept Category 7 for the $381,935 - $399,900 price range by taking gold, silver and bronze for three homes in the Heritage Gates and Heritage Cornerstone neighborhoods.

“Often we say, go for sold over gold. This year we were successful on both fronts,” says Andy Ammons, president of Ammons Development Group, Heritage developer.
“Selling 10 of 17 homes and then winning 10 awards supports what we already know—our community offers new homebuyers the homes and lifestyle they desire. I believe buyers confirmed this with their dollars and our industry confirmed it with these awards. We’re appreciative to all of them.”
Eleven Heritage builders showcased a variety of floor plans—many of which are located in a collection of four new neighborhoods in the Rolesville section of the community. Since the close of the Parade of Homes, two other Heritage entries have sold—bringing the final sales tally to 12 homes.
The Parade of Homes featured a total 22 homes in Wake Forest and 15 in Rolesville.
Other area winners include:
•JordanBuilt Homes won gold in Traditions, Wake Forest ($452,290).
•Murdock and Gannon builders took gold in Carlton Pointe, Rolesville ($292,690).
