He was born April 19, 1938 in Johnston County, the son of the late Vance Buren Lynam and Irene Jones Lynam. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. today (Thursday), April 25 at the chapel of Bright Funeral Home. He is survived by his daughters, Wanda Percise and her husband, Donald Jr., of Wake Forest and Wendy Majewski and her husband, Chris, of Raleigh; a son, Larry Van Lynam and his wife, Brenda, of Youngsville; sisters, Lector Bailey of Benson and Cheryl Lockamy of Durham; and five grandchildren. Bennie G. Woodlief, 61 Bennie Green Woodlief, 61, of Wake Forest died Monday, April 22, 2013 at WakeMed. He was the owner and operator of his own landscaping company and was an avid Duke fan. Woodlief is survived by his children, Justin Green Woodlief and his wife, Wendy, of Cary and Lindsey Woodlief and her fiancé, Solomon Price, of Richmond, Va.; his mother, Belle Woodlief of Wake Forest; sisters, Terry Morris Horton and her husband, Terry, of Wake Forest and Susan Brown of Bunn; brothers, Phillip Woodlief and his wife, Eddy, of Raleigh and Sammy Woodlief of Tacoma, Wash.; three grandchildren; and his former wife, Candy Woodlief. A memorial gathering will be held from 6-8 p.m. tonight (Thursday), April 25 at Bright Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Casual dress is suggested. Tiffany Ann Dudley, 43 Tiffany Ann Dudley, 43, of Rolesville went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 21, 2013. She was a member of Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder before moving to Rolesville. She was employed at BB&T as a vice president of banking. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, April 24 at the chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Philip Ayers officiating. She is survived by her husband, Dwight Dudley; a daughter, Lilly Ann Dudley; her parents, Portia and Lou Tabor; a brother, Mark Dudley and his wife, Kristol; in-laws, Nelson and Janie Dudley; a nephew; a niece; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Richard Leigh Ray USMC (Ret.), 66, of Jacksonville passed away Friday, April 19, 2013. He was born in Seattle, Wash., the son of the late Thomas Bennette Ray Jr. and Frances Nadine Roddewig Ray. Ray served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War and The Siege of Beirut. During his career he served as a field radio operator, photo journalist in pubic affairs and retired in radio and television. After serving his country, he managed a medical practice and served as president on various clubs and organizations, as well as serving on the Onslow County School Board. He was also a member of Infant of Prague Catholic Church in Jacksonville. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday morning, April 23 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Burial will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Ray is survived by his daughter, Kathryn Green of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; a son, Michael Ray and his wife, Jenette, of Raleigh; a granddaughter; a grandson; and a sister, Joanne Dearbeck of Franklin, W.V. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas B. Ray III. Frankie Barham Rogers, 55 Frankie Jean Barham Rogers, 55, of Youngsville passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Wake County and worked for ITT for 20 years before becoming a corrections officer with the N.C. Department of Corrections. Rogers is survived by her husband of seven years, Stacey Rogers; a daughter, Corrie O’Neil of Youngsville; a son, Robert Hopkins Jr. of Zebulon; her father and stepmother, Franklin and Judy Barham of Wake Forest; two grandchildren; stepbrothers, Gene McGhee and Robert McGhee both of Wake Forest; a stepsister, Donna Maynard of Zebulon; and a special friend, Sandra Leonard. Donald J. “Don” Perry, 81 Donald J. “Don” Perry, 81, of Youngsville passed away Monday, April 15, 2013. He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Artelia Mitchell Floyd and Joseph F. Floyd. A graveside funeral service was held Thursday morning, April 18 at the New Hope Christian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Barham officiating. He is survived by his sisters, Lois Whisnant of Youngsville and Dot Mullen of Louisburg; and a brother, Glen Perry of Raleigh. Clementeen Spivey Wilder, 77 Clementeen Spivey Wilder, 77, of Youngsville passed away Monday, April 15, 2013 at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh. She was born May 9, 1935 in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Virginia Spivey. She was married to the late James Andrew P. Wilder. Wilder attended Gethsemane High School in Bunn. She became a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Louisburg at an early age. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 20 at Feggins & Feggins Funeral Chapel. Burial followed at New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Wilder is survived by a daughter, Joyce Spivey of Durham; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Rosa Lee Lewis, 78 Rosa Lee Lewis, 78, of Wake Forest passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013. Lewis is survived by her husband, Joseph Lewis; a daughter, Roelethia L. Willis; sons, Joseph N. Lewis III, Lawrence Lewis and Frederick Lewis; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 23 at Friendship Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Carson officiating. Burial followed at Wake Forest Cemetery. |
