Print EmailSmith named finalist for county awardSeptember 9, 2010WAKEFIELD — The Falcons gained some serious recognition last month. North Forest Pines Elementary Assistant Principal Syreeta Smith, is among the five finalists for Wake County Public School System’s assistant principal of the year. Assistant principals from Briarcliff Elementary, Akins Road Elementary, East Wake Middle and Southeast Raleigh High schools were also named as finalists. Smith’s nomination was no surprise to third-grade teacher Laureen Campbell. “She’s probably the finest assistant principal I’ve seen.” And Campbell should know, she’s got two decades of teaching experience under her belt. She has worked with Smith since North Forest Pines opened in 2006. For the complete story pick up The Wake Weekly at a newsstand near you or subscribe by calling (919) 556-3182
