James A. “Jack” Lewis, 90, of Louisburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie J. Lewis, of the home; daughter, Diane L. Rogers, of Louisburg; sons, James Henry Lewis (Shirley), of Indianapolis, Eugene Lewis (Bonita), of Kansas City, Mo., and Bland Lewis (Jackie), of Hampton, Va.; stepsons, Willie Anstead and Tony Anstead, both of Castalia, N.C., and Henry Anstead (LaTonya), of Rocky Mount; sisters, Novella Branch (Odell) and Etta Clemons, both of Louisburg; brothers, Nathaniel Lewis (Gloria) and Grant Lewis, all of Louisburg, and George Lewis (Jaya), of Winston-Salem; daughter-in-law, Shirley Lewis of Franklinton.
He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation took place Jan. 7 at Richardson Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Allen Chapel Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery. The Rev. Stanley Dunston officiated.
