Jean Daniels Freeman, 78, of Raleigh, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the William M. Dunlap Center for Caring. She was born in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Clayton P. Daniels and Lottie Pearl Wilhelm Daniels.
Jean graduated from Presbyterian Nursing School in Charlotte and worked as a nurse for many years in the Raleigh area. She was loved for her gentle, sweet, compassionate nature, and was a blessing to all who knew her.
Jean was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James L. Freeman Sr.; sons, Louis Freeman and wife, Joan, of Wake Forest and Scott Freeman and wife, Kathy, of Raleigh; grandchildren, Jake Freeman of Wake Forest; Amanda Johnson and husband, Ryan, of Clayton; Zach Freeman and wife, Lauren, of Houston, Texas; Abbey Haglund and husband, Sean, of Raleigh; and Corey Freeman of Raleigh; and great-grandchildren, Marshall Johnson and Hannah Johnson, of Clayton, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Wake Forest United Methodist Church.
