Jean Idella Morgan died peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at the Oaks at Mayview in Raleigh. She was born February 17, 1923 in S. Portland, Maine; the eldest daughter of Carl Martin and Georgia Edith Moreshead Morgan, who preceded her in death along with brother, Warren Morgan, and sister Helen Lawrence.
Jean is survived by sister Carleen Fuller (Reginald) of New Smyrna Beach, Fla. and Sebago Lake, Maine; nieces Caryl Fuller of Raleigh, Janet Fuller of Raleigh, Denise Morgan of Arlington, Va., MaryAnn Morgan of Whitefield, Maine, Debra Moore (Craig) of Saco, Maine, and Julie Curry of Sadieville, Ky.; and nephews Dale Fuller of Fairfax, Va., John Morgan (Jackie) of Floral City, Fla. and Dana Lawrence (Debbie) of Portland, Maine.
A very heartfelt and special thank you to Dr. William Dunlap, the staff at The Oaks at Mayview, and the care-team from Hospice of Wake County for their generous spirit and caring support to Jean and her niece during these final months. Many thanks also to the staff and caregivers of Stay at Home Seniors who were Jean’s guardian angels for the past few years, exceeding all expectations when her final health crisis began.
In keeping with Jean’s wishes, there will be no formal gathering in her memory. A private interment will take place in S. Portland, Maine at a later date.
