July 4th committee receives $10,000 grant

WAKE FOREST — This Wake Forest July Fourth Committee has reason to be happy. They just learned the town of Wake Forest had approved a $10,000 grant to help with expenses of the fireworks and program extravaganza July 3 when this photo was taken.

The fireworks show and program will be held in Trentini Stadium this year where it all started 40 years ago. Special recognitions will be made for the founders during the program. The ever popular Children’s Parade and games Art in The Park will be held July 4 starting at 10 a.m. Advance tickets are on sale at numerous Wake Forest locations.
