Justice Yasmeen Leshaun Smith, 16, of Raleigh, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 at WakeMed. She was born in Harrisonburg, Va., and was currently a junior at Wake Forest High School.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Wake Forest United Methodist Church, 905 S. Main St., with the Reverend Donny Lynch officiating.
Justice is survived by her parents, Sonja L. Chaplin of Raleigh and Dondric L. Smith of Grottoes, Va.; siblings, Daunte Abernathy of Gainsville, Ga., and Dabriel Skievaski of Grottoes, Va.; grandparents, Donald Lee Smith and wife, Karen, of Atlanta, Ga., Ronald and Donna Atkins of Bridgewater, Va., and Sandra Chaplin-Randhawa of Staunton, Va.; aunts and uncles, Faith Bryant, Kristin Strickland, Matt Strickland, Greg Chaplin, Chris Chaplin, Megan Chaplin, Drew Thomas, Mario Thomas, Marcus Thomas, Josh Thomas and Donnice Leeshon Harris; and numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Naomi Curry.
