Laura Elizabeth Treat Mattingly (Dec. 9, 1921-Dec. 3, 2013), passed away six days shy of her 92nd birthday. We cherish her memory and are grateful for the many years we spent with her. We hope she is now with our deceased father, Rex who passed away Feb. 27, 2004.

Laura was born and raised in Roswell N.M. Her parents and brothers were ranchers. She and her family had many happy times on those ranches. Laura was a devoted wife and mother and she and her husband Rex had a wonderful life together. They lived in Albuquerque for many years, working and raising their children.
Later Rex was appointed to a governmental position in Washington, D.C. for eight years. They lived in Anacortes, Wash., before finally settling in North Carolina.
Laura lived next door to her children in Franklin County for many years before her move to an assisted living facility in Wake Forest. Her family will miss her greatly. There will be a private family service.
