LOUISBURG — Anyone interested in small farms is invited to register and attend the N.C. Cooperative Extension’s Successful Small Farm Opportunities Conference Saturday, Feb. 25, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Seby Jones Performing Arts Center, 501 N. Main St., Louisburg.
Participants will be able to explore alternative enterprises by speaking with successful producers and university personnel who are already growing and researching specialty enterprises.
“We can give you the practical, no-nonsense, hands-on advice you’ll need when considering crop and livestock production, market development and other important business options,” said Martha Mobley, extension agent.
The program includes four sessions with five topics offered during each session. Participants will receive resource materials in a notebook for all sessions.
Registration before Feb. 23 is $60 per person, however couples or partners registering at the same time receive a discount.
