Lily Easter Pergerson Ball, 74, of Franklinton, died Sunday, March 23, 2014. A native of Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Jasper J. and Ida Faulkner Pergerson, and widow of Ernest Jasper Ball. She spent 25 years caring for others as an activity coordinator at Springmoor Life Care retirement community. She attended and served at Franklinton Baptist Church, and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Surviving is her daughter, Carol Abbott (George), of Kittrell; sons, Charlie Gray Hunt Jr., of Henderson, and Richard Wayne Hunt, of Creedmoor; stepsons, Ernest Jasper Ball Jr.(Ann), of Franklinton, and Danny Ball, of Raleigh; sisters, Ruby Perry (Gene), of Youngsville, Dora Johnson (Johnny), of Wake Forest; Brenda Perry (William), of Youngsville; sisters-in-law, Emma Pergerson, of Louisburg, and Betty Pergerson, of Youngsville; along with six grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by brothers, Robert Pergerson and Jasper Pergerson Jr., and sisters, Marie Ross, Joyce Manness and Betty Lou Pearce.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. (tonight) Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Franklinton Baptist Church by the Rev. David Averette. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Franklinton Baptist Church, 102 West Mason St., Franklinton, N.C. 27525.
