Madge Yarborough Johnson, 99, of Youngsville passed away peacefully Sunday, July 21, 2013, surrounded by her family at Hillside Nursing Center.
She was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, she was employed by the Franklin County Public School System at the Bunn High School cafeteria.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, July 24 at Harris Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Bill Haley officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Johnson is survived by her sons, Danny Johnson and his wife, Carolyn, of Youngsville and Brooks Johnson and his wife, Alice, of Youngsville; daughters, Myrna Raybon of Knightdale and Sue Floyd and her husband, Charles, of Louisburg; brothers, John Yarborough of Sanford and James Yarborough of Fuquay-Varina; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel A. Johnson; a son-in-law, Bobby Raybon; parents, Archie Murphy Yarborough and Rowena
Elizabeth Yarborough; three brothers and two sisters.
