I’m a hard core First-Person Shooter fan, as I’ve mentioned before, I’ve played so many FPS games I’ve lost count. Rarely though, do I get as excited as I am now for a new FPS game.
When I look at shooters I tend to lean towards original gameplay and stylings. While I have played every Call of Duty and Battlefield except the two newest ones (building a new computer at the moment, budgeting here.), I don’t get super excited.
So what has gotten my fan-boy knickers in a bunch you ask? Titanfall(TM) has.
Coming from co-creators of Call of Duty including key developers of the franchise, this game is backed by years of FPS experience and promises to create an all new gaming universe.
Titanfall’s biggest draw in my mind is it’s synergy between the big piloted mechs known as Titans, and the agile jet-pack equipped pilots.
In the teaser trailers and demo alone, you start to grasp this game won’t be weighed down by campers, but instead will be dominated by those who move the fastest.
As a pilot you never seem to stop moving, whether it’s double jumping off of a billboard, or being scooped up by a Titan that plops you right into it’s pilot seat.
Everything about this game screams nonstop fluid action.
The game will be solely a multiplayer experience but promises to meld campaign like story-lines to keep you riveted to your seats as the fate of a universe unfolds before you.
For those of us who have had to compete with gamers who have been able to spend more time on FPS games than us, and ultimately spanking us on the battlefield. Titanfall promises a new arena that everyone will have to learn, giving us older gamers a clean slate to start from the beginning like everyone else.
I’ve always wanted an FPS game that gives me flawless parkour/jet-pack jumping, and I believe Respawn Entertainment will deliver
This beast of a game is slated to drop into stores March 11, 2014.
