To the Editor:
I have a couple of suggestions for Jean McCamy. First she could move to Chapel Hill where she would be with likeminded liberals who constantly whine about our governor and legislature. There are plenty of liberal arts professors over there with hyphenated last names that share her views.
Second she could send her columns to the N&O where they also would meet with likeminded leftwing articles. Please don’t let The Wake Weekly become like the N&O where politics has replaced news and actual reporting.
Just because you hear more about the liberal protesters doesn’t mean they are the majority of your readers. I would bet that the majority of your readership is hardworking, middle of the road conservatives who actually contribute to society instead of looking for what else the government can do for them. I have a feeling that most of the people Ms. McCamy supports have never built anything more constructive than a campfire at a protest rally.
My brother once told me that the problem with our country is that there are too many people riding in the wagon and not enough people pulling the wagon. It seems the left wants more people riding in the wagon while the right wants more people pulling it.
