WAKE FOREST — For decades, The Wake Weekly has been known for the oodles of photographs from community events, displayed on picture pages. Those photos have always been available for purchase in print form by calling the newspaper office.
The newspaper has taken that a step further.
There is now a photo store at WakeWeekly.com where readers of The Wake Forest Weekly, The Rolesville Weekly and The Franklin Weekly can purchase any picture that has run in an issue (except submitted photos) and anything from a gallery of other photos taken at events that don’t make it into the paper.
Photos can be ordered in digital or print form, including in black and white, with an option for printing on high-quality paper.
Added already are photos from the July Art After Hours and Neck of the Woods events, the grand opening at Rolesville High School, a dog fostering event and individual images from the other articles in the newspaper.
The newspaper staff will continue adding photo galleries as each issue is published and will go back through recent events — Independence Day, for example.
The price for either a download or 8x11 print is $9.99, though there are discounts for bulk orders.
The process is easy, simply click on a photo, select “Buy,” then configure and crop the photo how you like it, and click your way through to the cart and check out with a credit card or Paypal.
Additional photos can be added to the cart with ease.
Though the photos shown online display a watermark, that watermark will be removed from any download or print. There are also options to view the photos as a gallery without any obligation to purchase.
Check back every week to see what’s new!
