The Franklin County Board of Elections announces that the 2014 Primary Election for Federal, State and County Offices will be held May 6, 2014. The polls will open at 6:30 AM and will close at 7:30 PM. The last day to register for the 2014 Primary Election is April 11, 2014. The absentee request period for the Primary Election will begin March 17, 2014 and end on April 29, 2014 at 5:00 PM. Registered voters in Franklin County may request an absentee ballot from the Franklin County Board of Election, 107 Industrial Drive, Louisburg at 919-496-3898. Early voting will be held in the Board of Elections office at 107 Industrial Drive, Louisburg; Bunn Public Library at 610 Main Street, Bunn; Franklinton Public Library at 9 West Mason Street, Franklinton and Youngsville Public Library at 218 US 1A Hwy, Youngsville beginning Thursday, April 24, 2014 and ending on Saturday, May 3, 2014. Voters in Franklin County can vote from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Monday – Friday and on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
The Franklin County Board of Elections will meet, if necessary, on the following dates to consider absentee ballot applications for the May 6, 2014 Primary Election: April 15, April 22 and April 29 at the Board of Elections office at 107 Industrial Drive, Louisburg.
The Franklin County Board of Elections, by resolution, will meet on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Board of Elections office to count absentee ballots for the 2014 Primary Election. The results will be announced when the polls close at 7:30 PM.
