Marion Rosaria Cody, 72
Marion Rosaria Cody, 72, of Wake Forest died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of the late Johanna Caslina Boccio and James Boccio.
Cody is survived by her husband; Philip Cody; a daughter, Stephanie Cody Wynne of Wake Forest; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Josephine DeStefano.
A memorial service was held Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 7 at Bright Funeral Home.

Samuel Leard “Sam” Baber II, 73
Samuel Leard “Sam” Baber II, 73, of Mebane, passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at his home. Baber was born in Rockingham County, the son of the late Hastle Baber Sr. and Janie Brown Baber. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in radar operations. After serving his country, he worked with IBM, where he retired as manager of new products.
Baber is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Haynes Baber; children, Darrell Baber of Durham, Richard Baber and his wife, Carolyn, of Reidsville, Regina McAlexander and her husband, Eddie, of Wake Forest, Robert Baber of Apex and Todd Baber and his wife, Tami, of Mebane; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Hastle “Sonny” Baber Jr.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 6 at the chapel of Bright Funeral Home.

Carol McLeod Poole, 71
Carol McLeod Poole, 71, of Youngsville went to be with the Lord Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at Rex Hospital. Poole was the daughter of the late Daniel and Florence McLeod. She was a retired food service manager with the Wake County Schools.
Poole is survived by her husband of 51 years, Donald Ray Poole Sr.; daughters, Donna Poole of Fuquay-Varina, Deborah Hardister and her husband, David, of Youngsville and Karen Daniels of Youngsville; son, Ray Poole and his wife, Margaret, of Garner; sisters, Virginia Rogan of Pennsylvania and Esther Goodwin of Durham; a brother, John McLeod and his wife, Linda, of Florida; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 7 at the chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. John Davis officiating. Burial was at Raleigh Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Stephen Alford, Joe Heigel, Jimmie Ferrell, Roger Earley, Danny McLeod and Donald Perry.

Jennie Marchello Lombardo, 102
Jennie Marchello Lombardo, 102, of Raleigh passed away Friday evening, Nov. 2, 2012 at her home. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of the late Vincent Marchello and Angelina LaMariana Marchello.
Lombardo is survived by her daughters, Marie F. Dasnoit and her husband, John, of Raleigh and Angela F. Lombardo of Raleigh; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Lombardo was predeceased by her husband, Nickolas Lombardo; a brother, Salvatore Marchello; and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Hope, Middle Village, N.Y. Burial will follow at The Lutheran Cemetery.

Myrtle Ruth Heath Mascaro, 74
Myrtle Ruth Heath Mascaro, 74, of Youngsville passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at Duke Raleigh Hospital. She was born in Johnston County, the daughter of the late William T. Heath and Anne May Howell Heath.
Mascaro is survived by her daughters, Sue Anderson and her husband, Mark, of Jackman, Maine, and Dawn Jones and her husband, Jerry, of Rolesville; a son, Jeff Fields and his wife, Lisa, of Youngsville; a brother, Joe Heath and his wife, Marilyn, of Washington, N.J., and Billy Heath and his wife, Glenda, of Selma; sisters, Margaret Heath of Smithfield, Mary Heath Ham of Smithfield and Eloise Heath Edwards and her husband, Ralph, of Pennsylvania; and nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. “Bob” Mascaro.
A memorial service was held Sunday afternoon, Nov. 4 at Youngsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Stratton officiating.

LaVerne Jones White, 85
LaVerne Jones White, 85, of Youngsville died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at WakeMed in Raleigh. She was born March 29, 1927 in Wake County, the daughter of the late Turner Myrick Jones and Madie Grace Averette Jones of Rolesville.
She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and served as the Sunday school teacher of the adult women’s Sunday school class for many years. She owned LaVerne’s Hairstyling.
White is survived by her children, William Phillip White and his wife, Lyndell, Curtis Allen White and his wife, Nancy, Eddie Vernon White and his wife, Nancy, and Starlette Cyrus and her husband, Dennis; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her caregiver, Margaret Williams; and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, William Henry White.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Nov. 4, 2012 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Julian Motley officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Gerald White, Shelton White, Calvin White, Ronnie White, Andrew Barber and Charles Jones. Honorary pallbearers were Eric White, Fred Fremaux, Chris Davis, Matthew Cyrus, Jeff White, Daniel White, Michael White and Allen White.

Ada Lee Harrison, 70
Ada Lee Harrison, 70, of Wake Forest, went to her heavenly home Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 after an extended illness.
Harrison is survived by her husband of 49 years, Wilbur Harrison; daughters, Billie Gay of Spring Hope, Nancy Morales and her husband, Vince, of Charlotte, and Gail Carr and her husband, Craig, of Raleigh; a sister, Faye Morgan and her husband, Victor, of Raleigh; a niece; and five grandchildren.
The family hosted a celebration of her life at her daughter’s home.

Melbadeen House, 86
Melbadeen House, 86, of Franklinton passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at her home. House was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late James H. and Thelma G. Fuller House.
She was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church. She worked at Burlington Mills, Piggly Wiggly and retired from First Citizens Bank.
House is survived by a daughter, Cheryl DeMent of Louisburg; a granddaughter; sisters, Brenda Hedgepeth and Judy Garner, both of Louisburg; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Henry House; a grandson; five brothers; and a sister.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Nov. 4 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service Franklinton Chapel with the Rev. Joi Williams and the Rev. David Averette officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery.
