Woods responded to a three-vehicle collision at the Capital Boulevard and South Main Street intersection June 3 at 11:34 a.m. According to the police report, Willie Edward Rogers, 64, 891 Long Mill Road, Franklinton, was traveling north on Capital Boulevard in his Jeep SUV when he allegedly ran a red light and collided with a Honda car driven by Brenda Culp Morris, 51, 13045 Townfield Drive, Raleigh. The collision caused the Morris’ car to spin, overturn, cross the median and then collide with another Honda car driven by Linda Ann Monaco, 48, 7124 Sandy Pines Drive, Youngsville, who was stopped in the southbound turning lane on Capital Boulevard. Morris’ car then crossed back over the median into the northbound lane, ran off the road and landed in a ditch. Rogers was cited for a red light violation. Morris, Mary Magdalene Rogers, a passenger in Willie Rogers’ vehicle, and Monaco were all taken to WakeMed with possible and evident injuries.

Loveless responded to a two-vehicle collision at the Capital Boulevard and Wake Union Church Road intersection June 1 at 7:11 p.m. According to the police report, David Christopher Weathersby, 30, 199 Mack Johnson Lane, Lillington, was stopped at the red light on Capital Boulevard when his foot allegedly slipped off the brake pedal, causing his GMS pickup to rear-end a Nissan car driven by Antoinette Marie Nicholls, 35, 2824 Gross Ave., Wake Forest. Nicholls was 36 weeks pregnant at the time of the accident, and was taken to WakeMed for observation.
