•Julia Alexandra Sawyer, 16, of Youngsville was making a left turn from South Franklin Street onto Dr. Calvin Jones Highway Aug. 30, 3:53 p.m., when her vehicle was struck by a passenger car driven by Aaron Ray Lockamy, 16, of Louisburg.
Lockamy was traveling west on Dr. Calvin Jones Highway when, according to the crash report, Sawyer’s vehicle pulled in front of him. Lockamy attempted to brake, but was unable to avoid the collision.
After the crash, Lockamy’s car coasted in reverse approximately 314 feet into the guardrail and then continued to travel 42 feet more.
Wake County EMS responded to the accident, but all parties refused transport.
•William Buchanan Burgess, 45, of Knightdale was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross South Main Street near the intersection of Star Road Sept. 4, 11:19 a.m.
According to the accident report, Burgess was looking down at his cellular phone when he stepped into the roadway and into the side of a sport utility vehicle driven by Philip Anthony Sturchio, 68, of Wake Forest.
Sturchio reported hearing something hit the side of his vehicle and he immediately stopped when he realized it was Burgess.
Burgess was transported by ambulance to WakeMed with evident injuries.

A Nikon scope worth $300, a Verizon Wireless cellphone worth $200, and $5 in cash was reported stolen from an owner of one of the automobiles and $2 in loose change from another. •A Rustic Ridge Road, Franklinton, resident reported breaking and entering and larceny while in the process of moving. She left the residence and upon returning discovered both the back and front door had been tampered with, resulting in the front door being pried open. A microwave oven, a DVD power cord, package of toilet paper, bar of bath soap, bottle of dish soap, box-fan, tower-fan, circle-shaped fan and two purses were reported taken from the residence. •A weapons violation was reported at a residence on the 3600 block of Deering Drive, Raleigh, in Wake Crossroads. Sept. 2, 9 a.m.
•Antonio Aleman-Hernandez, 25, 1660 Martin Luther King Blvd., Chapel Hill, was arrested on a warrant by Raleigh Police Officer K.R. Lange at 11410 Alpine Meadow Lane, Raleigh, in Wakefield, and charged with a misdemeanor sex offense. He was taken to the Wake County jail and held on a $10,000 secured bond. Sept. 6, 10:30 p.m.
•Josland Cequese Starkie, 17, 4303 Lake Woodard Drive, Raleigh, was arrested on a warrant by Raleigh Police Officer M. Donley at Wakefield High School where she is a student and charged with misdemeanor larceny. Sept. 3, 8:15 a.m.
•Whalion Defrane Dewberry II, 18, 544 Vista Del Lago Lane, Wake Forest and Antwan Wilkins, 29, 521 Hillard St., Henderson, were arrested by Wake County Sheriff’s Deputy R.W. McGee at the Wake County jail annex and charged with simple affray for fighting at the jail. Dewberry was also charged with failure to appear in court. Dewberry was in jail on a $121,000 bond for charges of committing robbery with a dangerous weapon. Wilkins was originally arrested for a misdemeanor probation violation. His bond was set at $7,000. Sept. 3, 7:54 a.m.
•Bruce Winston Cooley, 55, 225 Anderson Drive, Wake Forest, was arrested by Wake County Sheriff’s Deputy J.N. Faatiliga at his residence and charged with misdemeanor assault on a female. He was taken to the Wake County jail and held on a $500 secured bond. Sept. 2, 8:05 p.m.
•An assault was reported on the 8000 block of Purnell Ridge Road, Wake Forest. Sept. 2, 2:43 p.m.
