WAKE FOREST — The Wake Forest Police Department is looking for amateur golfers to participate in the 18th annual Tournament for the Kids Monday, Oct. 7.
The event begins with a shotgun start at noon at Brevofield Golf Links, 13601 Camp Kanata Road, Wake Forest.
The field is limited to the first 32 paid team. The entry fee is $240 per foursome or $60 per person and includes lunch, green fees, cart, prizes and dinner.
Individual players may request to be included on a waiting list in the event additional teams are formed.
Tee box and hole sponsorships are available for $100 each and include sign recognition of sponsorship for one hole.
Funds raised will benefit children in the Wake Forest community. In recent years, the tournament has supported purchasing Christmas gifts for less fortunate children, local T-ball and softball teams and individual children in local recreational events.
