Accidents
•Wake County EMS and Woods responded to a two-vehicle collision on Durham Road near South Wingate Street July 11 at 8:27 a.m. According to the police report, Megan Brown King, 19, 5313 Mill Dam Road, was traveling west on Durham Road in her Honda car when she crossed the center line and collided with a Chevrolet SUV driven by Amanda Nell Stark, 29, 234 McDowell Drive. King told police she had a brain injury from a previous accident, and did not remember the accident on Durham Road. King was taken to WakeMed with possible injuries.
•Wake County EMS and Officer A.L. Chilton responded to a two-vehicle collision at the Durham Road and Cloverleaf Drive intersection July 7 at 5:55 p.m. According to the police report, Karla Lynn Bell, 28, 613 Shiretown Lane, was traveling west on Durham Road in her Chevrolet car when she ran a red light and collided with a Honda SUV driven by Michele Hoffman Zelvis, 51, 6531 New Market Way, Raleigh. Bell was cited for a red light violation. Zelvis was taken to WakeMed with evident injuries.

•Charles Thaddeus-McKenz Roberts, 47, 1304 Coolmore Drive, Raleigh, in Falls, was arrested by Wake County Sheriff’s Deputy S.D. Matthews at his residence and charged with misdemeanor assault on a female. Injuries to the victim were reported to be minor. July 9, 6:57 p.m.
•John Joseph Shellabarger, 46, 3920 Song Sparrow Drive, Wake Forest, was arrested by Wake County Sheriff’s Deputy R.C. Belshaw on New Falls of Neuse Road near Capital Boulevard, Raleigh, and charged with driving while impaired. According to the report, Shellabarger was found with a small glass smoking pipe and synthetic marijuana. July 7, 1:22 a.m.
