WAKE FOREST — Col. Michelle M. Rose has graduated from the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, Pa., and earned a master’s degree in strategic studies. The college is the Army’s senior educational institution.
The 10-month curriculum of the Army’s senior officer school is designed to prepare and train officers of all the U.S. military branches of service, foreign military officers and senior civilian officials of federal agencies to serve in top-level command and staff positions with the U.S. Armed Forces worldwide.
She is serving as commander with the 329th Regional Support Group, Virginia National Guard, Va., and has served in the military for 25 years.
Rose is the daughter of John and Joanna Mills of Wake Forest, and wife of Robert Barrett Rose of Carrsville, Va.
She is a 1985 graduate of Jacksonville (N.C.) High School, and earned a bachelor’s degree in 1990 from North Carolina State University.
